          To the river

To the river we went in our youth
From on land to the islands we explored
Oh the St Lawrence was the lure
With dads and friends we enjoyed
The summers fulfilled, the memories built
We continued to go year after year
Many the experiences we did have
From rowboats to power boats to speed boats
We did grow, so did our friends, the fishing club
Over and over to the river we went as we aged
Go to the river my friend, that’s where we will be
You’ll find us there, …………… we’ll see you there.
